We are seeking a professional responsible for analyzing transportation and distribution systems, procedures, and methods to develop and implement the most cost-effective and efficient strategies for delivering raw materials and finished goods to Donaldson LATAM facilities through ocean operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct distribution network studies to maximize operational efficiency and reduce costs while meeting or exceeding on-time delivery performance standards.
  • Procure transportation services, negotiate contracts and rates, and manage the performance of transportation service providers.
  • Perform regular benchmarking analyses to ensure competitive pricing aligned with current market conditions.
  • Coordinate import and export operations according to client requirements.
  • Provide mentorship to team members to support the development of both hard and soft skills, fostering talent growth within the department.
  • Collaborate with global teams to design and execute transportation strategies impacting multiple regions.
  • Report transportation performance and statistical data to other areas to identify savings and optimization opportunities.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent on International Trade, Logistics, Business or similar
  • 3+ years experience in similar positions or working for freight forwarders.
  • Experience coordinating ocean operations
  • Intermediate level of English communication
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proactive
  • Team work 

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Negotiation with suppliers
  • Monitor KPI’s and develop actions to achieve them
  • Cost reduction projects development and implementation
  • Experience in hazmat materials transportation
