I'm looking for an Android developer to troubleshoot and fix an issue in a custom Android app store that was built by heavily modifying the open-source Aurora Store.
The app is a root-only, locked-down custom app store designed for controlled devices. It uses an admin console to upload apps and metadata to the cloud, and the Android app fetches and displays those apps for installation using root access. The admin console exists in two forms: a Windows desktop application and an Android app version that can also be used to upload and manage apps.
Recently, the system stopped working correctly:
when I upload certain apps through the admin console, they do not appear in the Android app store, even though other apps still work. I'm not sure whether the issue is related to Firebase, JSON parsing, versioning, metadata validation, caching, or another part of the pipeline.
What the app currently does (already built):
