Job Description

This position works in the Parking Enforcement organizational unit. This is inspectional and regulatory work involving enforcement of City bylaws and regulations related to animal control. An incumbent investigates complaints regarding animal bylaw violations, issues notices, tickets and licences; catches and transports stray animals, and provides information and assistance to the public. Investigates complaints related to animals including, biting, barking, unlicenced, unleashed and at large dogs; catches, seizes and transports vicious, injured or stray animals to the veterinary or animal shelter; assists public coming into the Animal Shelter to reclaim animals. Patrols by foot, bike or vehicle to observe and enforce violations pursuant to the Animal Control Bylaw and licencing regulations.
