Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an AOR-Wide Communications Engineer. This position will be located in AUAB, Qatar and will be an on-site position.

Responsibilities

Provide AOR wide engineering support. The contractor shall:Design, produce and implement IT solutions to integrate systems into AFCENT enterprise;Troubleshoot, and optimize theater communications systems;Research current and emergent technologies;Provide analysis on technical specifications, limitations, potential implementation, and recommended courses of action.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering from an accredited university
  • 10 years’ practical experience in support of communications electronic systems or equipment; have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, understand IP routing and architecture design, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks
  • 6 years’ engineering experience in: information technology; IP Network Design and Architecture Development; RF Communication
  • Satellite Communications; Telecommunications; Tech Control; Command & Control (C2) System
  • 5 years’ experience in military communication systems

    Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • TS/SCI Clearance
