**API Developer**
**Location: Quincy, MA**
**Long term contract**
**37.5 hours per week**
**Rate is $60/hr (benefits available for W2 consultants)**
The Client seeks an API Developer with strong Java and Spring Boot microservices experience who can also support some DevOps activities such as deployments, configuration management, and environment support. This role encompasses both development and DevOps responsibilities.
**Key Responsibilities :**
+ Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
+ Build and enhance microservices that consume JSON payloads from multiple external agencies
+ Implement business logic based on agency, notice type, and payload data.
+ Implement robust error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms.
+ Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and quality. DevOps & Deployment
+ Support CI/CD pipelines for Spring Boot microservices.
