Hiring: Python + Pytest API Automation Specialist (Remote, Contract)
Tech Vallunar is looking for a skilled API Test Automation Engineer to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing clean, maintainable automated tests and understands how to test APIs in a realistic, production-oriented way.
This is not a UI automation role. The focus is on backend and API quality.

Role Overview
As a Python + Pytest API Automation Specialist, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain automated API tests using Python and Pytest
Build reusable API clients and helper utilities
Create positive, negative, and data-driven test scenarios
Validate core API workflows such as create, retrieve, update, and delete
Analyze test failures and provide clear feedback to engineering teams
Contribute to improving test strategy and automation practices
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience with Python
Hands-on experience with Pytest (fixtures, parametrization, markers)
Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication
Experience with requests or httpx
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Good problem-solving and debugging skills
API contract or schema validation
Test reporting (JUnit XML, pytest-html, Allure)
CI/CD integration experience
