API Workday Tester

Responsibilities :

• Participate in all phases of web services system testing.
• Create Test Scenarios and Test Cases, Developing and Maintaining webservice test scripts.
• Should have experience of Smoke Testing, Functional Testing, SIT and Regression Testing.
• Participate in the technical design process with the Webservice Architects and Developers on the migration projects from People soft to Workday.
• Develop, implement and maintain quality and test procedures, processes and best practices for QA.
• Develop and maintain test plan, test cases with associated test data based on functional requirements.
• Identify test automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of test services.
• Report and document defects found during test cycles. Participate in defect prioritization sessions.
• Provide test services for support activity and work with release management to assure product quality.
• Communicate timely status, including any potential risks/issues to the appropriate teams.

Required Skills :

• Good Experience with testing RESTful data services and APIs.
• Good Experience in Automation testing with Selenium.
• Knowledge of API testing using API testing tools like Postman or fiddler will be an advantage.
• Experience in Ready API testing will be preferred.
• Should have worked on agile methodology before.
• Good understanding of Workday applications and experience in Workday Testing (HCM, Payroll).
• Any Workday certifications are an advantage.
• Must be familiar with Test Metrics, Change and Release Management processes.
• Designing and writing automated test scripts using SOAPUI Pro or similar web services test tools.
• Tools experience, SOAP UI, Postman, TFS, Jira etc.
