Position Overview
The Application Analyst is responsible for conducting moderate to complex analytical work within the assigned functional area. This includes monitoring resources, evaluating system and business processes, and analyzing historical data trends to ensure optimal departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
Submission of a candidate for this role confirms the individual’s agreement to comply with all organizational policies and procedures, adhere to contractual terms, and meet all required qualifications and specialty experience for the position.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex analysis related to enterprise applications and financial systems
Monitor resource utilization and assess system/process efficiency
Evaluate and present historical data and trends to support operational and strategic decisions
Support metadata governance and master data management initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and IT
Design, build, and maintain enterprise metadata solutions to support downstream systems
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance of metadata across integrated platforms
Participate in system enhancements, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
Strong accounting background, with understanding of:
Profit & Loss statements
Balance sheet structures
General Ledger (GL) segments
Metadata-driven reporting and financial close processes
Deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS) configuration to enforce business rules and reduce metadata errors
Hands-on experience with the Oracle EPM stack, including:
EDMCS
EPM Data Integration
Supporting technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL, Groovy, JSON, and APIs
Experience building and automating EDMCS exports and extracts using APIs
Experience coordinating with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to streamline end-to-end metadata deployment processes
Proficiency in Oracle EDMCS solution design and development, including:
Viewpoints
Node types
Data mappings
Subscriptions
Validations
Workflows supporting multiple downstream systems
Preferred / Additional Skills
Ability to provide master data management (MDM) support for:
Supply Chain systems
Human Capital Management (HCM) systems
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
