Job Title: PostgreSQL Developer / Database Engineer
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid – Work from office on selected days)
Shift Timing: General
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (C2H via 2COMS)
Experience: 5+ Years in PostgreSQL Development & Administration

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced PostgreSQL Developer/DBA with strong expertise in database development, performance tuning, and modern PostgreSQL features. You will work closely with engineering teams to optimize data operations, enhance database performance, and maintain secure data practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL database objects (functions, procedures, triggers, indexes)

  • Fine-tune SQL queries, analyze execution plans, and apply indexing strategies

  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement performance optimization

  • Work with large datasets, schema design, and database normalization

  • Manage database replication (streaming & logical replication)

  • Ensure high availability, data integrity, and failover readiness

  • Implement best practices for database security & access control

  • Collaborate with application teams for seamless database integration

  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and version maintenance


    • Requirements

    Required Technical Skills
    Minimum 5 years of experience in PostgreSQL database development/administration
    Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL 11+
    Strong knowledge of PL/pgSQL, JSONB, CTEs, Window Functions
    Expertise in query tuning, indexing, execution plans, statistics maintenance
    Experience with streaming replication, logical replication, WAL
    Knowledge of role-based access control, encryption, auditing, and DB security
    Experience with performance monitoring tools (pg_stat_statements, EXPLAIN/ANALYZE, etc.)
    Additional Information
    Mode: Hybrid (WFH + WFO as per client schedule)
    Shift: General
    Contract: 6-month C2H (2COMS payroll)
    Hike: Best in industry based on last CTC
    Joining: Immediate to 30 days preferred
