Job Summary

The Application Engineer is responsible for working and coordinating with technical teams to identify the patches which are needed and make sure all vulnerabilities are remediated. The Application Engineer should have a solid grasp on all aspects of server maintenance like Patch Management, Vulnerability Management and upgrades.

Essential Job Functions

Experience in Planning, Scheduling, Execution & Co-ordination of the Patching activities.

OS Patching (Windows, UNIX, RH Linux)

Managing Vulnerabilities identified through Kenna via Qualys scan results 

Managing WebLogic upgrades, Apache tomcat, Java upgrades and certificate renewals.

Experience in coordinating with multiple teams for patching activities.

SSL issues, cleaning up of server, working with application teams and assisting the app teams.

Reporting Kenna findings. Cleaning up of application servers.

Possibly on-call support is involved or extending work hrs.

Work with Vendor team for patching issues.

Very good communication, follow up and collaboration skills.

Reports to: Lead or higher

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

0 to 3 years work experience in Intermediate/Proficiency in 1 or more programming languages/frameworks/products, with hands on development experience in projects. Must have worked in projects adopting Iterative/Agile/Water fall methodologies and must be proficient with its practices.

Preferred Experience:

Bachelor's degree in information technology/computer science/Statistical or equivalent technical degree
