Role Purpose

This role leads the engineering lifecycle of applications used within deployed ICT environments, from design through sustainment. The Applications Engineer will assess current application environments and dependencies, define application lifecycle requirements, and work with vendors to assess and integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products. The role includes supporting implementation activities, resolving technical issues, and ensuring applications meet Defence security, performance, and integration requirements. The engineer contributes to assurance and accreditation activities and produces detailed engineering documentation to support sustainment and governance.
