3M commercial solutions division offers training and services to help customers and channel partners to use and convert 3M products effectively. The solutions provided by the channel partners are backed by 3M by way of a warranty to the end customer. 3M also connects with end users and influencers to help them select the correct product solutions that meet their requirements most effectively. An application engineer helps the customer and the sales team to recommend an appropriate product as per the customer expectation. For an application engineer to be effective he must be able to carry out the below mentioned responsibilities effectively.

All of 3M’s Technical team members conduct courses in both a classroom and hands-on setting. Responsibilities

Understand in depth 3M’s offering and use that knowledge to help achieve objectives for the division.

Meeting brand owners, channel partners, printer and customers, guiding them with the right product and generating specifications to help them procure the appropriate material

Training customers, channel partners and applicators to use and apply 3M products correctly.

Lead technical engagement with key customers and channel partners.

Travel domestically focused on south and if required across India

Work at customer locations and sites.

Deliver training and communication effectively to a wide audience ranging from workers at construction site to customer management in board rooms.

Have positive attitude and willingness to learn. Be a team player and work in collaboration with 3M employees and channel partners.

Qualifications

A graduate or postgraduate preferably in Polymer science / chemistry / material science background with below mentioned qualities

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Have knowledge on self-adhesive films, polymer chemistry, formulations

Strong planning and organization skills.

Ability to understand technical subject matter or willingness to learn.

Proficient with Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other related software programs.
