Job Description:

Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world

As an Application Engineer for Personal Safety, you will play a key role for develop safety and health programs to support sales representatives and improve safety and health conditions to our customers in the division of Personal Safety across Mexico territory and collaborate with LATAM and global colleagues. In this role you will be able lead technical support and create safety and health programs based on 3M PPE technologies, influence the best practices on regulatory and conformance product standards.

The impact you will make in this role

  • Leads technical support and application development related to hazards by customer operations and processes.
  • Implements 3M personal protection equipment programs according segment market customers.
  • Participate in the standard development committees.
  • Deliver technical reports supporting the sales opportunities.
  • Working with cross functional team to develop applications and support customer needs.
  • Supports new products introduction and product conformance of the portfolio.
  • Your Skills and Expertise 

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (5) years of occupational health and safety experience, industrial processes, risk assessments in a private, public, or government.
  • Language: English intermediate/advanced 
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

  • Five (5) years of occupational health and safety experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Five (5) years providing training.
  • Skills include Teamwork, Problem-solving abilities, Communication skills, Adaptability and flexibility, Customer focus, learner.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • Occupational Safety and Health knowledge or experience.
  • 70% business trips
  • Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the corporate office at Santa Fe, Mexico City.
