The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
(KYTC) is a very diverse state agency that directly touches the lives of
citizens and travelers every day. KYTC
services are at work in all 120 counties and 12 highway district offices from
highways, roads, bridges, vehicle licensing, driver licensing, and highway
safety. KYTC works closely with officials at every level to deliver products
and services to its citizens, businesses, and government agencies, continuously
working towards improvement.
The Division of Driver Licensing (DDL)
within KYTC is responsible for the issuance of driver’s licenses, maintaining
driver’s records, and managing driver safety programs. Kentucky’s DDL works
closely with other state agencies, other states, and federal government agencies.
