Application Support Analyst

Position Title: Application Support Analyst

Location: Chennai/Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore

Experience range: 3- 6 years

Responsibilities

• Working experience of supporting applications in
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Murex GUI, back-end infrastructure, Murex services, Workflow (pre-trade and post-trade), and batch structure are essential.
• Knowledge of trade, deliverable and event life cycles in Murex.
• Extensive experience with some version of UNIX. Linux preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of clusters is highly desirable.
• Database experience – Sybase ideal but other DB types are acceptable.
• Ability to troubleshoot and think “outside the box” to resolve rarely seen problems.
• Familiarity with the functions and structures of XSL, XML, FIX, MXML.
• Ability to read code is essential. Pearl and shell scripts are used extensively in the customized Murex environment, as well as a small amount of Java.
• Being able to modify existing code or writing your own code is desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering to financial institutions.
• Product knowledge - Fixed Income and OTC Derivatives.
