Job Description
We are seeking a experienced Application Support Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in Application & Infrastructure Support, Incident Management, and Cloud Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITSM processes, hands-on experience with AWS environments, and a proven ability to maintain application uptime and improve system performance across banking domains
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as the first point of contact for production issues, responding to alerts, tickets, and user-reported incidents.
• Provide L2 application support and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DBAs, and vendors, to resolve high-priority issues and streamline change management processes.
• Maintain and enhance ServiceNow dashboards, generating insights and reports for stakeholder updates.
• Execute secure data migrations and monthly server patching using SCCM, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
• Conduct user training and create documentation to reduce support queries and improve end-user proficiency.
• Implement Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans for production resilience.
• Lead initiatives to optimize workflows, improve response times, and support teams in remote/onsite setups.
• Provide L1 support for cloud operations and write SQL queries to build reports, analyze data and fix production issues effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
Tools used:
• AppDynamics, AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, SQL, PostgreSQL, Windward, GUI, Visual Studio, .net, Windows ,IIS,Linux
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (related field).
• 5 to 8 years of IT experience, with a strong focus on application and production support.
• Certified in ITIL 4 , AWS Cloud Practitioner & Azure fundamentals
• Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and virtual collaboration capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of banking domain applications.
• Experience in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
