Description CTG is seeking to fill an Application Support Engineer opening for our client Location Remote Duration 12 months Duties Provide Tier 2 support for enterprise applications including troubleshooting incident resolution and root cause analysis Administer and monitor web applications APIs and JVM-based services Perform deployments patching and maintenance including off-hours support Respond to escalations from Tier 1 and GTOC alerts participate in 24x7 on-call rotations Document operational procedures and collaborate with internal teams Required Skills Advanced Linux command-line skills and strong application troubleshooting Knowledge of Apache Web Apache Tomcat Java and Oracle DB basic JDBC SQL JVM administration including heap GC tuning Networking knowledge IP routing and tools ping telnet traceroute netstat netcat Advanced Shell and Python scripting Familiarity with monitoring tools e g Catchpoint Synthetic Strong...
