Job Description – Application Test Engineer (AI-Based Web Applications)

About the Role
We are looking for an Application Test Engineer to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our AI-based web application products. The role involves testing intelligent features, validating APIs and data, and working closely with development and AI/ML teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automation test cases for AI-based web applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI/UX testing.
- Validate AI-driven features for accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Test REST APIs and backend workflows using tools like Postman.
- Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA, etc.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support UAT activities.
- Automate regression scenarios using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and defect life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, integration).
- Basic knowledge of automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Test NG, Cypress).
- Familiarity with API testing (Postman, Soap UI) and SQL for database validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to AI or chatbot testing.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Java/Java Script).
- Performance testing experience (JMeter).
- ISTQB certification.
