The Applications Engineer will support the Applications Engineering group, which functions as the Research & Development team. The role involves front-end development, testing materials with lasers, and determining capabilities, processing speeds, and quality of laser processing. The engineer will also document results and present reports to customers, demonstrating processes to clients and their teams.
Responsibilities
+ Test materials and analyze their reactions with laser technology.
+ Develop system configurations for production applications.
+ Process sample parts for clients and document findings in detailed reports.
+ Verify and demonstrate processes to clients and engineering teams.
+ Travel domestically and internationally to collaborate with engineering teams.
