Overview

Join Hexagon MI’s dynamic Solution Hub team as an Application Engineer (f/m/d) and play a pivotal role in advancing metrology and automation solutions.

You will support the implementation of cutting-edge technologies by delivering technical demonstrations, developing custom applications, and training customers across global markets. Working closely with all divisions of the Solution Hub—from product development and testing to commissioning and after-sales support—you will provide technical expertise throughout the entire Hexagon portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver hardware and software product demonstrations, including complex custom setups to potential and existing customers.
  • Communicate the product benefits effectively, enabling customers to make informed decisions.
  • Support the sales team by recommending tailored solutions based on customer-specific needs
  • Prepare comprehensive user documentation and conduct training sessions to ensure effective product usage
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive and responsive support, fostering long-lasting partnerships.
  • Develop custom applications and programs to meet client requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications for quotes.
  • Continuously improve existing applications and stay updated on new technologies in applications engineering
  • Collaborate with internal teams of the Automation Solution Hub on product development and contribute to innovation initiatives
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Automation Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service excellence
  • Willingness to travel up to 70 to 100% (inter- and nationally)
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B)
Nice to Have
  • Experience With PC-DMIS Or Other Dimensional Metrology Software
  • Knowledge of robotics and automation systems
  • Programming skills in C# or PLC (preferably Siemens PLC)
  • Experience with Visual Basic
