Title: Area Manager
Location: Dublin
Reports to: Client Services Manager
Start Date: Immediate
Total Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible)
Shift Pattern:
- Monday - Friday (flexible)
- Evening site visits required
Role Overview
The Area Manager will support the Client Services Manager in the effective delivery and development of a portfolio of high-profile contracts. This role has a strong focus on client liaison, staff management, monitoring service standards, auditing, and ensuring contractual KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved. The primary objectives are contract retention, operational excellence, and company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for assigned clients, taking full ownership of the contract portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support contract retention and growth.
- Provide effective and timely reporting to the Client Services Manager.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure contracts operate in line with agreed specifications and budgets.
- Carry out regular site audits and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure all operational KPIs and Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.
- Manage, train, and support on-site operational staff to maintain high service standards.
- Assist with site familiarisation and deliver initial and ongoing training for newly employed staff.
- Support site-specific recruitment in line with operational requirements.
- Escalate HR-related issues to the HR Department in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Complete payroll-related documentation accurately and on time.
- Arrange annual leave and absence cover to ensure service continuity.
- Complete and maintain all required documentation, including inductions, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Ensure health and safety standards are applied at all times in line with current legislation and the Company Handbook.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices across all sites.
- Manage stock control and oversee the use of computerised stock systems where applicable.
- Meet regularly with Site Supervisors to review performance and maintain high standards.
- Provide detailed and accurate information relating to ad hoc project works, additional service requirements, and quotations.
Requirements
- Fluent English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
- Proven ability to multitask and work on own initiative.
- Professional appearance with a calm, confident, and approachable manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical and diligent approach.
- Ability to listen to employees and clients and resolve issues diplomatically.
- Flexible attitude to work, including evening site visits.
- Full clean driving licence and ability to travel between sites safely and responsibly.
- Strong computer literacy is essential, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with computerised stock systems is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Industry-specific experience is highly desirable.
- SAP experience is advantageous.
- Manual Handling training is desirable.
