Job Description

As an Area Manager, you will be reporting to Business Center Manager. This position has overall responsibility of supervision, control and productivity planned in the assigned area of production line.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the entire shift, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, equipment, systems, and manpower allocation.
  • You ensure production numbers are achieved as per plan.
  • You provide daily reports to the Auditor/Area Specialist.
  • You design shift schedules for hourly associates.
  • You attend production meetings, plant review meetings, and sessions on waste, energy, safety, and training (on specified days).
  • You execute all indicators of the Business team and ensure they are met.
  • You maintain all Business Center documents.
  • You ensure good housekeeping and maintain WPO standards.
  • You support and implement systems that improve Business Center performance.
  • You train hourly associates, contractual staff, and casual workers.
  • You attend two-hourly production review meetings with Specialists/Auditors and DMS with hourly associates.
  • You support the implementation of systems relating to Quality, Safety, Energy, and Productivity.
  • You hand over all shift data, production numbers, and issues to the immediate shift in charge/auditor/specialist.
  • You are responsible for Layered Process Audits and LSP audits.
  • You ensure day-to-day jobs are linked to environmental considerations and minimize environmental impact.

Education

  • You hold a Diploma/BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.

Experience

  • You have 2+ years of experience in Tire Building, Curing, or Final Finish.
  • Preference is given if you have prior tire industry experience.
