Job Description
S. S. Tools is strengthening its sales presence in the Pune industrial belt and is looking for a technically strong Area Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team.
This role will work closely with our existing sales, application, and manufacturing teams to support customers across automotive, auto-ancillary, EV, and gear manufacturing segments.
Roles & Responsilities
- Manage and develop assigned accounts across Pune, Chakan, Talegaon, and nearby industrial areas
- Identify new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships
- Engage directly with shop-floor teams to understand machines, applications, and cutting conditions
- Generate and follow up RFQs for gear hobs, shaper cutters, master gears, and special tools
- Support tool trials and production start-ups in coordination with internal engineering teams
- Track leads, RFQs, orders, and customer feedback systematically
- Monitor market activity and competitor offerings in the region
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–8 years of experience in industrial, cutting tool, or machine tool sales
- Strong shop-floor orientation with good application understanding
- Experience with automotive or gear manufacturing customers preferred
- Familiarity with the Pune industrial region is an advantage
