AS/400 (iSeries) Consultant

Responsibilities

• Oversee operating system upgrades, routine patching, backup operations, disaster recovery planning, and overall platform tuning
• Continuously track system health across processing, memory, and storage layers, identifying and remediating issues before they impact service
• Maintain and support highly available environments, including failover design, role switching, and resiliency planning
• Administer user access, authority structures, and security controls with a strong emphasis on data privacy and protection of sensitive information
• Deliver first-level technical support to internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of system-related issues
• Participate in platform modernization efforts and contribute to the definition of long-term infrastructure and technology roadmaps
