ASBESTOS LEAD CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST

Program: Los Angeles Unified School District – Office of Environmental Health & Safety (OEHS)
Salary Range: $104.8K to $122.2K annual base salary plus benefits
Positions Open: One (1)

DUTIES:

  • Reviews Recommendation to Award (RTA) notices and Phase 1 and 2 asbestos and lead reports related to every phase of the project.
  • Attends Job Start meetings at the beginning of the project to review asbestos, lead, and safety requirements with the contractor and the other related parties in attendance; ensures that meeting minutes are documented and reported to project participants.
  • Reviews submittal(s) at the Job Start and throughout the duration of the project:
    1. Asbestos and lead worker certifications (respirator fit test, DOI clearances, medical & training).
    2. SCAQMD permits for HEPA vacuum.
    3. Job site notifications, i.e., SCAQMD, Cal-OSHA, CDPH, and ...
