Prefirst Assistant at Peterson School starting in January 2026

What will you do as a Prefirst Teacher Assistant? 📝


1) Handwriting Instruction

  • Teach students how to write and support them in maintaining their writing notebooks.
  • Conduct small-group handwriting sessions.

2) Classroom Support

  • Assist teachers during lessons and with transitions.
  • Supervise students during activities and help manage classroom routines.
  • Support specials teachers when needed.

3) Materials Preparation

  • Prepare tracing and lesson materials, organize student notebooks, and assist with bulletin boards and displays.
  • Ensure classroom support remains the primary focus when students are present.

4) Communication & Collaboration

  • Participate in regular meetings with the Head Teacher.
  • Coordinate logistics like dismissal, cafeteria supervision, and workshops.
  • Share observations about students who may need additional support.

Requirements:

What are we looking for?


  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or within an educational setting.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning journey.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Education (required).
  • Languages: Advanced level of English (required).
