COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


Fixed CTC


6,00,000/- per annum


Performance Incentive


Up to 4,00,000/- per annum (based on achievement of targets)


Travel Allowance


10/- per kilometer


Daily Allowance


As per company policy


Total CTC


Up to 10,00,000/- per annum (including incentives)


 


POSITION SUMMARY


The Area Business Manager will be responsible for driving business growth and market expansion for Doctor Agrovet Pvt. Ltd. cattle feed products in the assigned territory. This role involves developing distribution networks, managing a team of Sales Executives, achieving sales targets, and enhancing brand value through strategic market initiatives. The incumbent will focus on building strong relationships with channel partners, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring superior customer service while maintaining competitive market positioning.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Development & Market Expansion



  • Identify and develop potential markets for cattle feed products in the assigned territory

  • Establish and expand distribution network by appointing and developing distributor channels

  • Explore and create new business opportunities through various market routes and channels

  • Increase brand value and market share of Doctor Agrovet Pvt. Ltd. products in the region

  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to achieve higher market penetration


Sales & Target Achievement



  • Set and achieve sales targets for individual Sales Executives and the team as a whole

  • Maintain and increase sales of company products through effective sales planning and execution

  • Track and monitor purchase and sales of channel partners to ensure consistent performance

  • Analyze sales performance variances and initiate corrective actions to meet objectives

  • Handle major customer accounts and nurture key business relationships


Team Management & Leadership



  • Recruit, hire, and manage Sales Executives across different locations as per company vision

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to achieve their desired targets

  • Monitor team performance and ensure implementation of company policies and norms

  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain high productivity


Customer Relationship Management



  • Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base in the assigned territory

  • Service the needs of existing customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Create awareness amongst customers about product benefits and company offerings

  • Gather customer feedback and conduct market research to identify improvement areas


Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis



  • Analyze competitors, activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning

  • Monitor market trends and provide insights for strategic decision-making

  • Identify opportunities and threats in the market and recommend appropriate action plans


Brand Promotion & Marketing



  • Suggest and implement brand promotional activities in the assigned area

  • Organize and participate in agricultural fairs, farmer meets, and promotional events

  • Ensure effective implementation of marketing campaigns and schemes in the territory


REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES



  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities

  • Proven track record in sales target achievement and business development

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Deep understanding of animal feed, agriculture, veterinary, or dairy industry

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in field-based role

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong analytical skills for market assessment and performance evaluation

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory

  • Valid driving license and own vehicle (preferred)


PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE



  • MBA in Sales/Marketing or B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognised institution

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in the animal feed, Agri-Inputs, Veterinary, or Dairy sector

  • Prior experience in area/regional sales management role

  • Strong network and connections with distributors and dealers in the target market

  • Knowledge of local language and familiarity with regional market dynamics
