Job Title:  Area Sales Manager – Food Service (FS)

Role Purpose

The Area Sales Manager – Food Service will lead and manage sales operations for the Institutional and HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés)  segment within the assigned territory. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening distribution, expanding key accounts, and ensuring superior service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Financial Performance

  • Drive primary sales, redistribution, and revenue growth in the Food Service segment

  • Achieve sales targets through effective territory and account management

  • Ensure sustainable and profitable business growth

Customer & Channel Management

  • Strengthen and expand RDS and C&FA infrastructure to enhance product availability

  • Build strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, bakeries, cafés, caterers, and institutions

  • Identify and develop new sales channels and bulk business opportunities

Market Execution & Process

  • Execute and monitor market inputs and sales strategies

  • Ensure optimum stock availability at RDS and C&F warehouses

  • Analyze market trends, competition, and growth opportunities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, train, and develop Sales Officers

  • Monitor team performance and drive productivity enhancement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective execution

Business Development & Product Promotion

  • Drive new institutional and HoReCa business opportunities

  • Work closely with chefs, F&B managers, and purchasing teams to promote product portfolio

  • Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and present monthly sales reports, forecasts, and business plans

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deals

  • Manage area sales budgets efficiently

  • Branch Head / Zonal Sales Manager

  • Branch Commercial & Logistics Teams

  • Sales Officers

  • Channel Partners (RDS)

  • HR Business Partner

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate (MBA preferred)

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager  in Food Service / HoReCa / Institutional sales

  • FMCG background preferred

  • Strong knowledge of sales fundamentals and distribution management

  • Hands-on experience with Sales Force Automation (SFA)

  • Experience in RDS management and ROI tracking

  • Proven people management and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong communication skills in English and regional language
