Summary/Overview:
Safely runs paving machines to spread and level hot asphalt for roads, parking lots, and driveways, monitoring material flow, coordinating with dump trucks, and performing daily equipment checks and basic maintenance for consistent, high-quality pavement.
Essential Job Functions/Requirements
+ Skillfully and safely operate asphalt pavers, controlling speed, direction, and screed to apply material evenly.
+ Maintain constant flow of asphalt from dump trucks into the hopper to prevent asphalt segregation
+ Responsible for consistency and uniformity of material compaction after being placed by hand or with a paver.
