Assembly Manager

Exciting Opportunity in Vehicle Assembly – Chakan

We are looking for a Manager – Vehicle Assembly to lead and drive excellence in a leading 2-wheeler & EV manufacturing plant in Chakan.

About the Role:

• Functional reporting to Head of Manufacturing
• Location: Chakan
• Experience: 5–10 years
• Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech – Mechanical / Automobile Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end vehicle assembly operations, ensuring quality, productivity, and timely dispatch.
• Maintain strong shopfloor relations and handle industrial relations effectively.
• Implement new standards, processes, and best practices for PQCDSM improvement.
• Supervise production planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
• Ensure compliance with SHE, audits, and safety standards.
• Drive NPD, DFM/DFA, equipment planning, and commissioning.
• Interface with R&D, Engineering, Materials, and Sales teams.

Technical & Functional Competencies:

• Vehicle assembly processes, fit & finish, and hands-on manufacturing engineering experience
• Design of experiments, Poka-yoke, modular tooling, grinding, and heat treatment
• Production planning, SCM, inventory management, and statistical data analysis
• Knowledge of ECUs, sensors, supplier quality systems, NCDS, and crisis management
