Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to at all time
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation and establishment of goals and objectives for the department.
  • Manage budget and expenditures
  • Investigate and provide recommended corrective actions for quality rejects as required
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV HSE policies and procedure.
  • Work with planning, quality and warehouse department for the smooth functioning of assembly shop and ensure the work order completion on time and shipments.
  • Responsible for one area of manufacturing.
  • Responsible for strong communication throughout the department and conveying information to those in shifts and consumable inventory management.
  • Provide continual evaluation of departmental processes, methods and activities to assure to most effective use of resources and equipment
  • Monitor and measure departmental KPI’s
  • Facilities OR Group Specific Responsibilities

  • The Assembly and Test Supervisor oversees the daily Assembly and Test activities of the plant. 
  • Also prepare the build plan on weekly/monthly basis and timely communication of fall outs.
  • Creating the work instructions and SOP wherever required. 
  • Responsible for weekly scheduling and timecard approval of all assembly direct reporters.
  • Responsible for controlling department budget and expenses
  • Provides the leadership to improve plant performance to maximum levels of safety, environmental impact, quality, service and efficiency, within the financial internal control framework. 
  • This position will also provide the leadership to effectively lead the Methods and Shop floor teams to achieve maximum production and operating efficiencies.
  • Responsible to ensure quality of the work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality.
  • Responsible for the overall supervision, accountability and direction of all directly and indirectly reporting employees which includes Selection, Hiring, Orientation & Training, Supervision, Attendance Management, Performance Reviews, builds, motivates team that consistently meets production deadlines
  • Develop the team to meet long term growth objectives while maintaining an environment, which permits maximum personal growth consistent with individual’s performance. 
  • In conjunction with the Safety Manager, continually develop, implement, and maintain improved safety programs which reduce accident severity and frequency rates as a percent of hours worked. 
  • Responsible for releasing the equipment for preventive maintenance and get it done from maintenance department
  • Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Diploma with 8-10 years or with 6-8 years’ experience mechanical/ electrical/ production/ instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 year experience for supervisor role in assembly shop.
  • Work experience with Assembly & Testing of various Oil & Gas equipment such as API 6A Valves, connectors, Chokes, API 16C Manifolds, API 6A BOP, Mud Pumps, Fluid ends etc.
  • Employee should be able to administer safety programs for all employees in his/her department.
  • Knowledge of ERP system
  • knowledge and application of ISO, API systems & manufacturing standards.
  • Strong communication in English (Both Verbal and Written)
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
