Assistant Accountant
Join South Australia’s Leading Security Team.
AG Security Group is South Australia’s largest privately owned security organisation, protecting Australians for over 34 years . Due to continued growth and newly secured long-term contracts, we’re seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Adelaide-based team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the finance function across multiple entities.
Key responsibilities include
- Month-end processing, journals, accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations and fixed assets
- Preparation of financial statements
- End-to-end payroll processing and payroll compliance
- Payroll tax, child support and RTWSA
- Assist with BAS preparation
- Accounts receivable invoicing and debt collection
- Managing customer queries
- Weekly reception lunch cover and phone answering
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong payroll and accounting knowledge
- High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Confident communication and professional phone manner
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
