Job Description
We are currently working with a well-established organisation based in Derby who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to provide short- to medium-term cover during a period of sickness. This is a hands-on role supporting the finance function and would suit someone who can step in quickly and confidently into a busy accounting environment.
This position is fully office-based, 5 days per week, and requires someone who is immediately available or on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Maintaining accurate general ledger entries
Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable where required
Preparing financial reports and schedules for management
