Assistant Accountant

Hayward Hawk are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our financial services client for an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis.You'll have the opportunity to grow in your role, while playing an important part in our client's continued success. What you'll do: Maintain accurate product and project cost records, ensuring all direct and indirect costs are captured. Prepare standard and actual cost analysis, investigating and explaining variances. Support pricing decisions with reliable cost data and insights. Assist with overhead allocation and reconciliation of cost centres. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and performance reports. Analyse P&L, balance sheet, and other financial data to highlight trends and variances. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal postings, reconciliations, and accruals.
