Introduction

A sustainable society is an electrical society. Electrification of transportation, heating in the built environment, and especially industrial heat and processes is essential to achieving CO reduction targets and combating climate change. Power conversion technologies play a critical role in enabling this transition, particularly for heavy transport, industrial heating, power-to-X (including hydrogen), and direct electrification of chemical processes. This position offers the opportunity to lead research that addresses the technical challenges of large-scale electrification and grid integration.
