Job Overview

The Assistant Buyer II is responsible for supporting Hubbell’s purchasing and procurement activities. This role involves assisting in selecting and sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and maintaining vendor relationships.


A Day In The Life


Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

  • Qualifying vendors, evaluating bids, and negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services. 
  • Tracking purchases, monitoring vendor quality, and maintaining a current database of vendor information. 
  • Reviewing and analyzes purchase requisitions. 
  • Coordinating purchasing activities with service, manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
