**Assistant Chief Steward**
Are you a strong leader with a sharp eye for cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency? We are looking for an **Assistant Chief Steward** who will support the Chief Steward in managing stewarding operations, ensuring the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and support to all kitchen and food & beverage outlets.
**A little taste of your day-to-day:**
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
+ Assisting the Chief Steward in overseeing daily stewarding operations across all kitchens, restaurants, and banqueting areas.
+ Ensuring proper cleaning, storage, and handling of kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils.
+ Monitoring hygiene, sanitation, and **HACCP / food safety compliance** at all times.
+ Managing stewarding manpower, duty rosters, and task allocation to ensure smooth operations.
+ Coordinating closely with Culinary and F&B teams to support service requirements.
+ Conducting regular inspections and maintaining cleanliness standards in back-of-house areas.
+ Monitoring inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables; placing requisitions as required.
+ Ensuring correct usage and storage of chemicals in line with safety guidelines.
+ Supporting training and development of the stewarding team on hygiene, safety, and best practices.
+ Assisting with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
**What we need from you:**
+ Proven experience as an **Assistant Chief Steward or Senior Steward** , preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
+ Strong knowledge of **hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards** .
+ Experience in managing teams and coordinating stewarding operations.
+ Good understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
+ Good command of **English** ; **Arabic language will be an advantage** .
+ Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
