New York based HVAC services firm is seeking an Assistant Controller to assist in accounting operations. This role has the potential to grow into a Controller position within the next 3-5 years and would be an integral part of the Accounting team

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.


• Create schedules and financial statements for management review.


• Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and ACH reconciliations accurately and on time.


• Follow up with insurance companies and attorneys on outstanding matters.


• Support in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
