Assistant Director

About the role

As the Assistant Director at Happy Valley Community Children's Centre, you will play a key role in supporting the Centre Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of this thriving early learning facility. In this full-time position based in Happy Valley, SA 5159, you will contribute to the strategic leadership and management of the Centre, ensuring the delivery of exceptional childcare and educational programs for children aged 0-5 years.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Centre Director in managing the overall operations and administration of the Centre
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Centre's educational program, ensuring it aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework
• Oversee the supervision, training and development of the Centre's educators and support staff
• Foster strong relationships with families and the local community to support the Centre's objectives
• Ensure the Centre's compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures
• Must possess a valid Working with Children Check before commencing employment
• Assist in the effective management of the Centre's budget and resources
• Actively participate in the Centre's continuous improvement and quality assurance processes

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior/leadership role within the childcare industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of educators
• Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements for early childhood education and care
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in using technology and digital tools to support Centre operations
• Passion for providing high-quality, play-based learning experiences for children
