Job Description
Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Coding willprovide day-to-day leadership to coding teams across inpatient, outpatient and professional services. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience Experience managing coding operations in a hospital or multi-facility healthcare system strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS coding, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, APCs, and risk adjustment. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive coding/HIM experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role. Licensure/Certification/Registration RHIA, RHIT, or CCS, COC,CPC credential required.
