Assistant Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Asst. Engineer (Rider) to join BlueTel Networks' OSP Department. BlueTel Networks Pte Ltd is a Facilities-Based Operator (FBO) licensed under the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore. The Asst. Engineer will play a key role in supporting the preventive maintenance and operationality of BlueTel's underground fiber infrastructure.

This role offers a mix of office and field responsibilities, including inspection of routes and manholes, and supporting out compliance with IMDA's Earthworks Requirements. The candidate must be adaptable, hands-on, and capable of handling multiple functions depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

•Maintenance & Operations:

oSupport the maintenance of manhole infrastructure, ensuring reliability and operational readiness.

oConduct route inspections, manhole inspections, and record updates.

oRecord and escalate observations of third-party works that may affect BlueTel's infrastructure.

•Regulatory & Documentation:

oSupporting the process of Plant Map Purchases and Notices of Commencement of Earthworks (NCE) under IMDA's Earthworks Requirements, when assigned.

oMaintain accurate records of efforts and inspections.

Qualifications and Requirements:

•ITE, NITEC or O'levels.

•Require to work outdoors.

•Able to work independently and as part of a team.

•Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.

•Must possess a valid motorcycle licence with at least 1 year of riding experience.

•Only Singapore Citizens need to apply.

•Strong sense of direction with the ability to navigate independently across multiple locations.

•Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

•Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs.

•Good sense of direction is an advantage.
