The Assistant Lab Services Coordinator works in instructional laboratories and preparation laboratories in support of education and research in the Department of Chemistry, including supervision of preparation team student employees.Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Services Coordinator, this person assists in the management and operations of chemistry preparation rooms in support of chemistry instruction and research. The Assistant Lab Services Coordinator prepares solutions and reagents according to standard procedures, and assists with chemical waste processing, maintenance of instruments and apparatus, and record keeping. The Assistant Lab Services Coordinator supervises student workers and assures that student workers learn and follow appropriate safety protocols.
