Position Title

Compliance Officer- Manufacturing Plant

Position Summary

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance at the plant level. The role involves monitoring compliance execution, guiding plant users on compliance requirements, reviewing on-ground compliance status, and assessing applicability of new regulations due to operational changes at the plant.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance at the plant level in accordance with applicable central, state, and local laws.
  • Ensure that plant-level users complete compliance reporting on the compliance management tool accurately and within defined timelines.
  • Monitor compliance dashboards, follow up on pending actions, and escalate delays or non-compliance as required.
  • Resolve compliance-related and compliance applicability doubts raised by plant users, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Periodically review on-ground compliance implementation.
  • Prepare and submit independent compliance review reports, highlighting gaps, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Review and assess applicability of new or additional compliances arising due to changes such as installation of new equipment, capacity expansion, construction activities, or process modifications.
  • Coordinate with HR, EHS, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure timely implementation of applicable compliances.
  • Track amendments in laws and regulations relevant to manufacturing operations and communicate impact to plant management.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, inspectors, and auditors during inspections, audits, and renewals.

Critical Success Factors - Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce, or a related discipline (LLB preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a plant-level compliance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance management tools or software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to Silvassa or Vadodara / Haridwar or Jharsuguda will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance for manufacturing plants
