Assistant Manager - Data Analytics - Automotive Industry

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technology Research Analyst with a strong engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to identify emerging technologies in the automotive domain, understand advancements and regulatory changes, and assess their impact on our business portfolio. This role requires excellent data analysis skills, proficiency with automotive databases, and advanced PowerPoint capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive research to identify emerging technologies and advancements in the automotive industry.
• Analyse regulatory changes and assess their potential impact on the business portfolio.
• Utilize automotive databases (Marklines/IHS) to gather and interpret data, providing actionable insights.
• Perform detailed data analysis using advanced tools ( PowerBi/Tableau) and methodologies.
• Build strategy for R&D- based on automotive technology analysis, visible trends and prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into strategic business planning.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform decision-making.
• Prepare detailed reports and whitepapers on research findings and industry developments.
• Support strategic planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field).
• MBA in Strategic Planning or a related field is preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience in automotive research or a related domain.
• Proven experience in identifying and analysing emerging technologies and regulatory changes in the automotive industry.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Excellent skills in using automotive databases for research purposes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating professional presentations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
