Role Overview:
As a D2 C Freight SME Sales expert at Prozo, you will be responsible for converting inbound leads and database prospects into active clients, while also generating new leads through research, referrals, and social selling. This is a high-intensity, high-reward role offering strong fixed pay and attractive incentives. You will work closely with the Inside Sales team to achieve closures within timelines and ensure quick onboarding post-deal closure. Speed, ownership, and client-centric problem-solving are key to succeeding in this role.
Responsibilities:
● Lead Handling & Follow-Up: Engage with warm inbound leads and qualified prospects passed by the Inside Sales team in real-time. Own the lead from first call to onboarding.
● Proposal Preparation & Dispatch: Coordinate with the D2 C freight operations team to prepare client-specific proposals (rates, pin code analysis, courier mix, claim SLAs) within 24 hours.
● Onboarding Ownership: Ensure all newly closed clients go live within the given timelines of proposal acceptance, coordinating ops, KAM, and client setup workflows.
● Outbound Prospecting (Secondary Focus): Use available time and tools like Linked In, Zoom Info, and referrals to generate additional leads aligned with Pro Ship’s ICP.
● Consultative Selling: Understand the prospect’s freight challenges—fake delivery attempts, weight discrepancies, courier delays—and present Pro Ship’s platform as the solution.
● Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain lead funnel hygiene, regularly update statuses, and track follow-ups via CRM and reporting dashboards.
● Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaise with Marketing, Freight Ops, and the Control Tower teams to ensure client requirements are well-communicated and timely actions are taken.
● Target Ownership: Drive toward aggressive weekly and monthly lead-to-closure targets, supported by incentives and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
● 3-7 years of experience in front-end business development or supply chain consulting roles
● Preferred Industries: 3 PL warehousing & freight, contract logistics, supply chain consulting, D2 C Freight Sales
● Strong commercial acumen
● Extremely strong communication skills
● Ability to prioritize, multitask, and perform effectively under pressure
● An entrepreneurial mindset, a sense of ownership to genuinely solve customer problems, become a trusted advisor to customers, and make things happen, gets brownie points.
