About the Role

Assistant Manager – HRBP will play a dual role, spending 50% of time on blue-collar workforce hiring and 50% on HR Business Partnering activities. The role will closely support plant/site/business leadership to ensure timely manpower availability, effective people management, and smooth execution of HR processes aligned with business objectives.


About the Role

Key Responsibilities:


  • Blue-Collar Hiring & Workforce Management (40%)
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment for blue-collar roles including operators, technicians, helpers, and contract workforce.
  • Coordinate with plant/site teams to understand manpower requirements and deployment plans.
  • Source candidates through vendors, local consultants, job portals, referrals, job fairs, and walk-in drives.
  • Manage vendor relationships for contract staffing and ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
  • Conduct preliminary screening, coordinate interviews, and facilitate onboarding and joining formalities.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of hiring targets with a focus on quality, cost, and speed.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers, hiring MIS, and manpower reports.
  • Support background verification, medical checks, and documentation for blue-collar employees.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and labor compliance related to contract and shop-floor workforce.


  • HR Business Partnering (60%)
  • Act as the HR point of contact for assigned business units/functions.
  • Support implementation of core HR processes such as performance management, engagement initiatives, rewards & recognition, and learning interventions.
  • Handle employee relations matters including grievances, discipline, absenteeism, and shop-floor concerns.
  • Partner with line managers to improve workforce productivity, attendance, and retention.
  • Support HR analytics, dashboards, and reports for the business.
  • Facilitate employee engagement activities, communication sessions, and HR interventions.
  • Assist in policy implementation and ensure consistent application across the business.
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and HR documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.


Qualifications


Exp : 4 – 7 years of HR experience

Prior experience in blue-collar hiring and HRBP role in manufacturing, plant, logistics, FMCG, or similar environments preferred


Required Skills
