Role Summary

Team Member - Environment Monitoring, MLT, Water sampling and Analysis

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow Good Manufacturing practices, Good Laboratory practices and Good Documentation practices.
  • Operation of all the instruments and equipment in microbiology laboratory.
  • Receipt, Storage, Media suitability test and issue of Dehydrated/Ready to use Media.
  • Reconciliation of ready to use media/Prepared Dehydrated media.
  • Waste Disposal, Cleaning and Handling of Lab ware in Microbiology.
  • Verification of cleaning of laboratory, other accessories, instruments and Equipment.
  • Daily monitoring of microbiology laboratory such as RH, Temperature, DP etc.
  • Preparation of cleaning solutions, disinfectants.
  • Calibration of instruments and equipment located in Microbiology laboratory.
  • Training and qualification of microbiologist.
  • Observation and interpretation of Microbial Growth and results.
  • Preparation of Non-Routine study/ Miscellaneous validation protocol and Reports.
  • Handling of external service providers.
  • Follow laboratory safety practices.
  • Any other additional work assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure training is completed for all relevant SOPs. 
  • Get qualified to perform the activity.
  • Ensure entry/ exit procedure for respective area is followed.
  • Responsible for raw material sampling and related activities.
  • Responsible for cleaning of respective equipment/area as per the requirement.
  • Raw material/ Finished product/ Stability/ in process (as applicable) testing as per respective method validation or STP.
  • To perform method validations, miscellaneous validations pertaining to microbiology.
  • Record each activity performed in respective ODS. Release, record the results and submit the reports to Quality control department.
  • Ensure all relevant documents are updated.
  • Water sampling and testing and to perform the Environment monitoring. 

    • Qualification & Experience

    Qualification: MSc (Microbiology / Biotechnology)
    Experience: 8 to 10 years
