Role Summary
The Engineer is responsible for Design, Development and Establishment of Injection molds, and Fixtures. He will be involved from Conceptual phase until establishment of Injection molds both at supplier and in-house
Roles and Responsibility:
Manufacturing feasibility studies from 3D models and preparing DFM reports.
Prepare Mould specification sheets to get offers from suppliers.
Prepare Mould Design concepts for PVC, CPVC and UPVC Fittings components using 3D model and 2D drawings.
Conceptualise mould design and estimate required Moulding machines capacity and manufacturing processes.
Responsible for Mould design reviews including mold flow analysis and feedback to supplier to ensure First time right and defect free Mould development.
Handhold Toolmakers by Providing design support to have flexibility in selecting Low-cost suppliers.
Responsible for reducing mold cost and lead-time by providing innovative Ideas to suppliers.
Should be able to identify failure modes and take actions to eliminate failures.
Monitor time plan and ensure tool development schedule.
Attending Try-outs and ensure the quality of mould, fixture and part.
Root cause analysis and preventive actions to eliminate failures and defects.
Develop mould design checklist and formats to prevent failures
Requirement:
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience specifically in Plastic Injection Moulds Design, development, Manufacturing and processing.
Diploma / bachelor’s degree in Tool design from NTTF, GTTC & CIPET as educational qualification
Sound Knowledge and hands on Experience in Injection Mould Designing.
Working experience In Designing of Injection Moulds using CREO 3D software.
Develop 2D drawings using Auto CAD
Knowledge in Mould flow Analysis, interpretation of Reports and Incorporate in design.
Knowledge of Hot runner systems and Mould standard accessories.
Knowledge of Injection mould manufacturing and Process setup
Knowledge in Machining and other Mould manufacturing processes.
Injection Moulds manufacturing process planning
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify failure modes.
Proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Flexible to travel anywhere, whenever required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer knowledge
Experience with PVC, CPVC and UPVC will be an added advantage.
