About the Role

As an Assistant Manager – Internal Audit (KYC) at slice, you’ll lead and scale our VKYC Audit function, owning audit governance, team performance, and continuous improvement across the entire audit setup.

This role blends people leadership, audit expertise, and stakeholder management, with end-to-end responsibility for audit execution, regulatory compliance, and strengthening internal controls in a high-growth, compliance-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the VKYC Audit Function

• Handle and oversee the entire VKYC Audit team, ensuring clear goal-setting, performance management, and quality ownership across all levels.
• Provide direction, coaching, and escalation support to ensure consistent and high-quality audit outcomes.
• Drive capacity planning, workload distribution, and productivity across audit pods.

Own Audit Governance & Compliance

• Own end-to-end governance of VKYC audit operations, ensuring adherence to defined quality benchmarks.
• Ensure strict compliance with RBI guidelines, internal policies, and KYC regulatory standards.
• Review audit observations, identify systemic trends and root causes, and drive timely closure of audit gaps.
• Partner closely with VKYC Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams to strengthen controls and reduce repeat findings.

Drive Performance, MIS & Reporting

• Define and track audit productivity, quality scores, SLAs, and TATs across the VKYC Audit function.
• Own and review MIS, dashboards, audit logs, and management reports for internal governance and regulatory readiness.
• Share regular insights with senior leadership on audit health, compliance risks, and overall team performance.

Enable Training & Continuous Improvement

• Drive regular training, calibration, and knowledge enhancement initiatives across the VKYC Audit team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within audit workflows.
• Act as the point of contact during internal, external, and regulatory audits, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth coordination.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream;
  preference for candidates with Banking, NBFC, or Fintech backgrounds.
• 3–5 years of experience in KYC / Internal Audit, with experience handling large audit teams.
• Strong working knowledge of Video KYC regulations, audit frameworks, and risk control measures.
• Proven ability to analyze data, identify red flags, and drive compliance-led decisions.
• Strong people leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, audit tools, and basic understanding of dashboards or BI platforms.
