Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing contract execution, regulatory liaison, land transactions, compliance audits, and legal advisory. This role demands legal expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes in a dynamic industrial environment.

Job Summary

Legal & Compliance Risk Management -

• Thorough awareness of applicable laws pertaining to a foods manufacturing unit in India.
• Ensure proactive and comprehensive risk analysis in adherence to emerging trends/ subjects that have potential to impact operations.
• Management of legal process systems for Plant related documentation (C-Box, contracts management policy, compliance approvals etc.).
• Set up a robust litigation management system to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure collaborative objectives are achieved with various internal stakeholders in relation to internal audit, internal control, risk management, process improvement and efficiency.

Legal Dispute -

Lead the management of legal and compliance disputes, crisis, conflicts with consumers, government/enforcement authorities, competitors and/or other stakeholders- pertaining to factory operations.

Legal Contracts -

Manage, draft and negotiate all complex business contracts including sales and distribution contracts, services agreement, and/or any other commercial contracts as required by the Company.

Danone Corporate Compliance Policies -

• Lead the implementation of various business policies to drive a culture of compliance.
• Deploy and conduct training at to develop and strategize communication of compliance program.
• Lead the annual drive to implement an effective compliance program at Plant/ manufacturing locations.
• Anticipate and evaluate emerging compliance trends, anticipation of legal developments and continuously improving and strengthening the compliance culture at Plant and manufacturing locations

Security -

• Develop, adapt, and implement the global Security policy, guidelines/ standards, in collaboration with the Zone Security Director.

Profile Required

• LL.B / LL.M from a recognized university.
• 6-8 years of legal experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors (preferably in a foods factory legal team).
• Strong understanding of industrial laws, land laws, environmental regulations, and contract law.
• Experience in handling regulatory inspections and legal audits.
